Individual (Adults or Adolescents):
Experience a tailored 45-60 minute therapy session where I encourage clients' self-discovery, guiding them towards personal growth and therapeutic triumphs.
Individual (Child):
Unlock your child's potential with engaging 30-45 minute sessions. I provide a nurturing environment where children can develop essential life skills that cater to their unique needs.
Group (Children or Adolescents):
Watch your child flourish in dynamic 30-40 minute group activities. My main goal is to foster social skills and nurture positive peer relationships through interactive learning experiences.
Therapy sessions include individual or group counseling via Telehealth or in-person (recommended for younger children).
My approach focuses on each client's unique strengths and real-life connections, combined with proven ecologically based techniques that fit different needs. For example, with some kids, I use strategies from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help them understand how their thoughts, beliefs, and feelings connect to everyday actions—like how thinking they "can’t do it" might hold them back. For others, I use exposure techniques to gently face fears and anxieties, helping them gain confidence over time. Every client is different, so I tailor the process to meet each individual where they’re at, working together to build lasting, positive changes in their lives.
In therapy with adults, I work alongside clients not only on building healthy relationships and preparing for life’s challenges but also as an executive functioning support specialist. I help clients enhance their working memory, reduce ADHD symptoms, and improve their organizational skills. For adolescents and young adults, I focus on laying the groundwork for successful adulthood, where overcoming fears, managing negative thoughts, improving communication, and strengthening self-esteem are central goals. Together, we aim to move beyond past challenges and toward future possibilities, fostering a healthier lifestyle and a positive mindset.
With young children I mostly utilize play-based therapy techniques to engage with and address the presenting problems or difficulties. Since play is the most natural form of communication for a child, I often utilize it in a session so the child can easily express their feelings, build social skills, and relieve stress. The child can choose between different forms of play while in my office (e.g., sand, blocks, puppets, paint, dolls, Lego, art).
