As part of this evaluation, I examine students' strengths and weaknesses to help identify effective strategies and supports for achieving their goals at school, home, and in the community. Areas assessed include intellectual abilities, executive functioning, learning style, visual-spatial skills, social-emotional functioning, and adaptive skills. Academic (also known as achievement) testing is also included in this assessment.
This assessment includes a clinical interview with a student, parent, and teacher, as well as A-B-C data collected in school on three different occasions. The classroom- and systemwise recommendations provided as a result of this assessment to inform behavioral plans.
This assessment is conducted to measure student's current social-emotional and adaptive behavior to further support the diagnosis of intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and/or developmental delays. It may be used to determine eligibility or qualification for special services, and track and report progress.
